One thought on “Battle of Franklin casualties compared to D-Day?

  1. My Great Great Grandfather would have been listed as one of the missing/captured. He was wounded in a Calvary charge serving under Colonel Rucker at the Battle of Nashville. He apparently road home after being wounded, so he would have been one of the missing. He later was paroled after the war at Savannah.in May 1865. He would have been 42 years old. I am glad he road home, otherwise, I would probably not be here. My Great Grandfather was born in 1868. His brother died of pneumonia in the Civil War prison in Alton, IL earlier that year in March 1864.
