This year’s event will take place at The Carter House and Carnton Plantation on Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9. Friday morning from 9:00am-1:00pm will be reserved specifically for school groups. Both sites will open to the general public at 1:00pm. Guided house tours will be available on Friday afternoon and on Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm with the last tour at 4:00pm both days. Blue and Gray Day events will end at 4:00 pm on Saturday.

Each site will feature a variety of living historians that visitors can interact with to learn more about life during the Civil War era. Visitors can meet Abraham Lincoln, learn about Civil War photography and flags, and watch a blacksmith at work, in addition to a variety of other living historians and re-enactors. We hope you will make plans to join us for this educational event!
