36th Illinois soldier’s CDV surfaces at Franklin Civil War Show

I was fortunate to pick up a CDV of Isaiah Baughman who fought with the 36th Illinois Infantry (Company C) at Franklin.  The 36th was part of the 4th Corps, Wagner’s Division, 1st Brigade, serving under Col Emerson Opdycke.

He was from Tomkins, Illinois when he enlisted 9-1-61. He was promoted to Corpl. Mustered out 10-8-65.

Baughman saw much action with is regiment, the 36th Illinois, including Pea Ridge, Perryville, Stones River, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, the Atlanta Campaign, Kennesaw Mountain, Spring Hill, Franklin and Nashville.
