New book: Tennessee’s Confederates

Myers E. Brown, II is curator of extension services at the Tennessee State Museum and he has followed up his excellent 2008 work entitled Tennessee’s Union Cavalrymen with a new work focusing on images of Tennessee Confederates, appropriately named Tennessee’s Confederates (Arcadia Publishing).

The new work is organized by political leaders, Generals, cavaliers and partisans, infantry, and a chapter on artillery, staff, chaplains, marines and sailors.  It contains scores of images, many attributed to TSL&A and the State Museum.  But there are lots of images too provided by some of the top private collectors of Tennessee Confederate images.

The book is $21.99 and can be purchased at Arcadia Publishing or from Amazon. Brown’s earlier (2008) work titled Tennessee’s Union Cavalrymen is also available by Amazon.
