1914 Franklin Survivor's Register

The present exhibit at the Historic Carnton Plantation (Franklin) called Remembering Our Bold Defenders: Civil War Veterans, runs from March 1 – October 1, 2011. Examining the Survivor’s register yields five Confederate soldiers definitively tied to the 1st Tennessee Infantry (CSA), Carter’s Brigade.

  • J. Robert Holmes – Co H
  • William M. Pollard – Co D
  • Elijah L. Baugh – Co D
  • Capt. James P. Hanner – Co D

Signed as belonging to the 1st on the sheet, but not verified are:

  • W.W. Walls, Co C
  • O.S. Smith
  • J.L. Hill
