Calvin Lee Mooney, Alabama 29th Infantry Co E, who fought in the Battle of Franklin 146 years ago today and lost his left arm after rescuing the flag when their color bearer was shot down.

    My gggf was also with the 29th co h , Andrew Jackson Hicks, he was shot in the shoulder and the jaw in franklin, he survived to have 21 kids and died in 1908, he also had fingers shot off at Ezra church and Peachtree Creek.
