Confederate son – James Brown, Jr., – still attending events at age 98

He was an honored guest in my home last October and of the Franklin community when we reburied the unknown soldier. His name is James Brown, Jr.  James continues to attend Civil War events like round tables as recently reported by Knoxnews.com.

MAN’S FATHER FOUGHT IN CIVIL WAR

Jim Brown grew up in the Civil War’s shadow, listening to stories of the fighting from a father who lived it.

“He was in it from the beginning at Manassas to the end at Appomattox,” Brown said. “He’d be amazed to see the changes today.”
