  1. Thomas Lindsay Murrell was the son of James Murrell an emigrant from the townland of Ballyquin near Limavady Co.Derry Ireland.
I can claim kinship with him via with my Murrell ancestors in that part of Co.Derry. Would dearly like an image of his marker and if anyone has any information on him would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks =Michael Higgins Belfast.

  2. Thanks for this information Kraig! Thomas Lindsey Murrell is
my great-great uncle. His younger brother, James Murrell, is
my great-great grandfather. There was also a brother Alfred –
who I think served alongside of Thmas LIndsay in the same
regiment. (They were from Jackson, TN) Any details on him?
DO you have a photo of the grave marker or know any
antecdotes surrounding the situation at the time of Thomas’
    death?

I am Peter Murrell Davis and very interested in genealogy.
If you have any more photos or details, would love to hear from you. I live in
Siloam Springs, AR. I was born in Houston, TX but was raised in Memphis, Tn.

    Thanks,
    Peter M. Davis
